School of Dramatic Art in Caceres

cemart-caceres

The drama school in Estremadura (CEMART) is located in the historical centre of Cáceres, declared as a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1986, thanks to the cultural melting pot (Roman, Islamic, Gothic, Nordic and Renaissance Italian) of the relics found in these towns and villages. This school is located in the former Jesuit convent at San Jorge Square.

A short description of the building site

  • Type of site: Restoration of a historic building of the 18th century. Former Jesuit school adapted several times for different uses.
  • Architect : Tiburcio Martín Solo de Zaldívar
  • Number of rooms: 15 including 3 for dance

Why did you choose Harlequin?

Damián Beneito Pita, Director of CEMART

“I chose Harlequin because I consulted theatre and dance professionals, and all of them recommended Harlequin.”

The selected products

The dance studios were equipped with a Harlequin LIBERTY™ sprung floor, covered with a Harlequin STANDFAST™ vinyl floor, because these products are hard-wearing and multi-functional.

Among the range of colours available, we retained dark grey to match the dark grey walls and to contrast with the orange decorative elements.
