Lausanne Prize 2010
Viva Argentina !
For the young Argentine Christian Amuchaestegui, January 31st, 2010 was probably the best day of his life. The big winner of the 2010 Prix de Lausanne, he also took the public prize. What a fantastic performance! Harlequin expresses its warmest congratulations to Christian !
The Lausanne Prize took place from the 27th of January until the 1st of February 2009, a flagship event for dance professionals worldwide. Harlequin was a part of it. For the first time we sponsored the video blog of the Lausanne Prize, won by Skylar Campbell, a young dancer. For this occasion we launched a mini-site and organised the Harlequin’s two for two contest to elect the best video. With a trip for two people for two days to Madrid thrown in, as well as an invitation to the gala dinner organised on the 29th of April 2009 in Madrid within the framework of the International Day for Dancing.
The Tanzolymp fifth international dance festival rewarded the future hopes of dancing among 600 young dancers of public and private schools from all over Europe. On a Harlequin CASCADE™ floor, known for its sturdiness and adaptability, all disciplines, from classical to modern, right through to character dance and jazz, were represented. The originality of this contest, unique in the world, has benefited from Harlequin’s support.
24 hours of uninterrupted dancing, 147 dance companies, more than 1000 participants. The 4th edition of the dancing Marathon in Madrid took place on the 3rd and 4th of June 2005 on the stage of the Teatro de Madrid. The rule is: for 24 hours each contesting company performs for 10 minutes maximum in front of a jury of theatre directors, journalists and dance professionals and presided over by Maya Plisetskaya.
