Tanzolymp

Dance festival in Berlin
The Tanzolymp fifth international dance festival rewarded the future hopes of dancing among 600 young dancers from public and private schools all over Europe.
On a Harlequin CASCADE™ vinyl dance floor, known for its sturdiness and adaptability, all disciplines, from classical to modern, right through to character dance and jazz, were represented.
“We are proud to support this contest"
The originality of this contest, unique in the world, has benefited from Harlequin’s support. As Guy Dagger, General Manager of the British Harlequin mother-company and son of Bob Dagger, founder of Harlequin would say: “We are extremely proud to take part in Tanzolymp. This contest has a high demand level and gathers quality participants. Among the students who performed this evening, some will probably realise their dream one day to become a star of dancing. That is what we hope for them".
A prestigious jury
The performances of the young dancers were judged by a big jury. Presided over by the renowned Vladimir Vasiliev, known as the “God of the dance”, the jury included Cynthia Harvey, Beatrice Knop, Dietmar Seyffert and Anna Maria Prina.
Tanzolymp has invited small future gods of the dance to climb up the sacred mountain this year again.
