Round table in Monaco

Following the round table, which took place on 13th and 14th December 2006 in Monaco, with the participation of two representatives of the French Ministry of Culture – Dance Department, and the participation of doctors, architects and dancers, the Harlequin dance floors were officially recognised by the Department of Music, Dance, Theatre and Events (DMDTS) of the French Ministry of Culture and Communication.
No more hard spots
The circular of 27 April 1992 indicates that “Installing a double joisted dance floor helps to ensure maximum safety”. As an alternative to double joisted dance floors (whose hard spots make the dance uncomfortable), Harlequin has developed 2 innovative flooring systems: Harlequin LIBERTY™ and Harlequin ACTIVITY™. They guarantee the same quality on the entire surface, without any hard spots.
Focussing!
The National Centre For Dance (www.cnd.fr) recently published a fact sheet entitled “Installation of a dance studio” in its Droit collection. This document highlights “the appearance of floors with elastomer blocks, which seem to reduce possible hard spots we find on double joisted floors”. |
