"The dance studios at The Arts Educational School, Tring Park, get much use all day with a variety of classes from ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary dance. Many of the studios are in our lovely Rothschild Mansion, so we chose a custom designed colour for 'Cascade' floors for the rooms in the Mansion and 'Studio' floors for the newer studios and our theatre. “Rambert Dance Company is Britain’s oldest performing company and has been at its present home in Chiswick since the mid 70’s. The main rehearsal studio had an old floor with no springing, which was taking its toll on the dancers. Eventually the wear became obvious to the eye, and it was at this point that Harlequin introduced me to their Activity Floor®. It was to prove to be the ideal solution - and cost effective too! We specified Harlequin Studio as the performance surface, as this was the flooring that we toured with. Dancers would be used to the material and, being cushioned, it would further help with impact absorbency. The Activity Floor® was expertly and quickly installed by Harlequin’s Contracts Division and after more than 10 years looks as good as the day it went in. Dancers always risk injury, but with Harlequin’s Activity Floor® we have attempted to reduce this to a minimum.“
