Meet Robert Dagger
Bob Dagger is the founder of Harlequin Floors. After graduating from Exeter University in England, he spent three years in the engineering industry in Scandinavia and the following seven years in the heavy chemicals business in England and abroad. During these busy years he built up an excellent working knowledge of the complex and industrial processes, which are essential in the production of Harlequin dance and stage floors.
He joined Marley over forty years ago, before the company discontinued its stage floor line. Bob smiles ruefully at the thought that he was instrumental in making “marley” the generic word for dance and stage floors particularly now that Harlequin supplies far more dance floors than Marley ever did.
Although Bob resides in England, he regularly travels to the U.S. to call on Harlequin clients and keep abreast of the dynamics of the ever-changing performing arts community.
