Harlequin Liberty LatchLoc™ panels can be used as a sub-floor for all types of dance, including, and especially percussive. They can also be used for trade shows and exhibits, in houses of worship, etc. Anywhere a raised floor is needed for performance or exhibit, Liberty LatchLoc™ sprung dance floor panels can be used. A suitable Harlequin vinyl dance surface (sometimes referred to as a "marley floor") must be used on top of the panels.
Design and Construction
Harlequin Liberty LatchLoc™ is a modular floor manufactured from engineered boards with closed cell elastomer blocks on the underside. This gives uniform and consistent shock damping. The panels are installed in a brickwork fashion on the sub-floor so that cross joins do not coincide. They are linked to each other by a radiussed pivot joint. LatchLoc panels connect to each other using a hook and lock system on the underside of the panels and are secured through a small hole in the top of the panel using a simple easy to use tool provided by Harlequin.
The pivot joint extends along the panel edges to within 13/16” of the corners ensuring the corners are protected from flexion under load. The edges are also carefully supported by elastomer blocks.
Dance surfaces suitable for Liberty LatchLoc™ permanent installations are:
Cascade, Allegro, Tempo, Fiesta, Standfast, Studio & Studio B
Dance surfaces suitable for Liberty LatchLoc™ portable and stage installations are:
