Julian Erskine, Executive Producer - Riverdance“The only floor that works for Riverdance is Harlequin Cascade” Ten years on and Riverdance is still the biggest dance show in the world. “Thursday, 9th February, 1995: opening night of Riverdance the Show in Dublin. Little did any of us who were there on that night dream that 10 years later we would have taken Riverdance around the world, travelling an incredible 500,000 miles (to the moon and back) and playing over 8,000 shows to 18 million people! There have been changes along the way, but a few things have remained constant and consistent and one of those has been our use of Harlequin Cascade as our dance floor of choice. Playing in very different halls, theatres and arenas around the world, week after week, presents technical difficulties for our crew, but with the help of our Cascade flooring we have been able to successfully present Riverdance from Belfast to Beijing and from Auckland to Anchorage. They say each journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step; for Riverdance it’s been a journey that began with several taps and that journey still continues.” |

Randall G. Chiarelli, Resident Lighting Designer and Technical Director - Pacific Northwest Ballet, Seattle, WA"After experiencing slippery floor problems and poor service from other flooring vendors, we turned to Harlequin for our stage floor. Since then we've also purchased Harlequin Studio for production and touring as well as specifying it for our new studios. |
